The backbone of Minnesotan eating is supper clubs, so it’s no surprise that the Twin Cities has some of the top steakhouses in the country.
These are the old and new school restaurants that provide prime beef cooked properly to order, from queen-cut prime rib on Saturday night to bold t-bones cooked just so.
Fogo De Chao
The best Brazilian steakhouse and generally a famous restaurant in the Minneapolis area for steak dinners. Is there anything quite like witnessing rodizio-style waiters prowling a dining room, bearing the oh-so-beautiful sight of skewer after skewer of luscious meat to get your pulse racing?
Fogo de Chao in Minneapolis is arguably your best chance in the Twin Cities if this is your concept of the ultimate steak supper. Yes, this is a franchise, but occasionally franchises get it right.
Expect a steady stream of consistently cooked meats, such as sirloin steak, marinated pork, seasoned lamb, and lots of fowl. Thanks to a large salad bar and maybe my personal favorite item on the menu – that grilled pineapple – there’s even plenty to keep vegetable lovers satisfied.
Porterhouse Steaks
Consider going to Porterhouse Steaks & Seafood in Little Canada, approximately 15 minutes north of downtown Minneapolis, if you want to take your cattle-hunting exploits off the main route. Despite the distance, this often-overlooked site is regarded as some of the greatest surf and turf in the area.
It has an oceanaire seafood room where the best chef and his team prepare dishes by your wishes. Additionally, enjoy the cocktail lounge and some of the best burgers. Although it has a steakhouse concept it has the touches and promises of a restaurant.
Therefore mostly it is seen also as a classic establishment by locals and plenty of others. A pro tip is to watch out for the happy hours, so you can have plenty of choices. You will not have a hard time here for sure.
Seven Steakhouse Sushi
Seven’s steaks aren’t as well-known as Manny’s, P.S. Steak, and the other major hitters on our list. However, we doubt that the hundreds of Minnesota Vikings players, the powerhouse team, and other local celebrities that frequent this fashionable hotspot order bottle service do so only for the steaks.
The rooftop lounge is always packed. People believe it has more to do with Seven’s always-bustling rooftop club, which overlooks Hennepin Avenue and is one of the few spots to “see and be seen” in the sleepy midwestern town. It has the best steakhouse rooftop in the area.
Rather than rich sides, go for the grilled vegetable side dishes. The best new spot and, a popular steakhouse and the perfect place for business people to enjoy a good meal after work.
P.S. Steak
P.S. Steak, a relative newcomer, features one of Minneapolis’ most beautiful dining rooms. The staff here treats every diner like royalty, from the free valet to the marble and crystal décor. Take a seat in one of the back’s huge booths and order a large chunk of steak.
This steakhouse strikes all the proper notes: expertly cooked, presented in Flintstonian quantities at baller rates by intelligent waiters. Enjoy great bbq and other dinner options like the South American butterknife steak or any other titular dish. A very popular stop with a top notch service. It is similar to some New York strips steakhouses.
Manny’s Steakhouse
This is the place to go for stunning, old-school power lunching, from the prime downtown location to the be-balled bull artwork. To impress, order an oversized piece of beef with all the hearty toppings and a large bottle of Caymus. Alternatively, enjoy the kingly, attentive service while sipping a classic Manhattan and a little tenderloin for one at the bar.
A historic steakhouse combined with some historic places like the S Marquette Ave and other iconic spots. It is located there. Enjoy a dry aged baseball steak with mashed potatoes while listening to live music. After that check out the appetizer menu and enjoy a modern take on food.
