Sometimes going on an exciting date is wonderful, but there’s nothing like curling up with your food, wine, and your significant other for a night of Netflix. There are plenty of things to choose from, including action flicks, thrillers, rom-coms, and more, but sometimes you just want to watch some TV.
However, with so many choices on Netflix, picking what to watch may be difficult! That’s why we’ve compiled a list of the greatest Netflix TV series to binge, whether you’re watching with a spouse, roommate, or simply having a quiet night in. So instead of watching a TV you’ve probably already watched a million times, try one of these Netflix binge-worthy series right now.
Stranger Things
If you were a fan of Walter White and other characters from popular shows like Prison Break, you will love this. It has a ton of little things like the mentioned series, which will make you fall in love with it. This series has it all: magical abilities, a frightening government lab, dark secrets, fantastic ’80s flair, and a bunch of adorably adorable children.
When Will Byers goes missing in his Indiana town and a young telekinetic girl appears, his friends, family, and local cops look for answers, but they soon find themselves in the middle of a top-secret government experiment. Honorable mentions here include the series Young Women, Small Town and Hill House.
Good Place
When you combine Kristen Bell with Ted Danson, what do you get? The most incredible concert ever!
When Eleanor Shellstop awakens in the afterlife, she finds herself in the utopian “Good Place.” There’s only one little issue: she was clearly placed there by mistake.
Love Is Blind
This is perfect if you’re seeking anything to help you feel better about your own relationship right away!
This reality program is built on the idea that single people would communicate, form relationships, and get engaged without ever meeting in person. It’s both fun and bizarre. Sex expert Eleanor Shellstrop says this is a fictionalized version but it is how life works. Obsessive young man exist everywhere.
Good Girls
While this program was regrettably terminated before it could reach its conclusion, you may still watch it and enjoy it.
Three mothers and best friends get together to steal a grocery shop because they all need money. However, after having a taste of the criminal life, they get further involved in a money-laundering plan.
Mindhunter
If you are looking for something like Criminal Minds, this is the closest thing to it. It chronicles the (largely true) account of how the FBI created their serial killer profiling approach by interrogating some of America’s most notorious murderers, including Ed Kemper and Charles Manson.
This show’s casting is so convincing that you’ll think you’re witnessing genuine interviews with the murderers. An honorable mention here includes Good Doctor, as one of the best tv shows and drama series out there.
Umbrella Academy
This series based on My Chemical Romance vocalist Gerard Way’s comics and graphic novels is well worth seeing. 43 children are delivered on a tragic day in 1989 to unrelated mothers who had shown no symptoms of pregnancy the day before.
Seven of them are adopted by a millionaire who teaches them to rescue the world. The trio split up when they were adolescents, but they reunited following the strange death of the eccentric millionaire. The former student group is very interesting.
The Sinner
Detective Harry Ambrose investigates a new crime in each season. In the first season, Ambrose delves into the history of a disturbed lady (Jessica Biel) to discover what drove her to knife a man to death on the beach.
After a young boy confesses to poisoning a couple in the second season, he returns to his hometown and begins to discover the secrets the townies are attempting to keep hidden. There are other documentary series and provocative series featuring similar content and actors like Gwyneth Paltrow.
Lucifer
A miniseries featuring a fictional story about Lucifer, who becomes a homicide detective. Sounds interesting. Well, it is! The FOX/Netflix series has been revived twice, and there’s a solid reason for it. After the devil himself chooses to leave Hell and work for the Los Angeles Police Department as a consultant.
When his brother arrives to take him back to the underworld before all hell breaks free, things swiftly change. Do you understand? Typical demon behavior.
True Blood
It takes place two years after the creation of “Tru Blood,” a synthetic blood product that allows vampires to “come out of the coffin” and make their existence known to humanity.
It follows the battle of vampires for equal rights and integration as anti-vampire groups acquire prominence. If you are a fan of vampire diaries, this will be it for you. Other family drama projects feature Joe Goldberg and Shonda Rhimes.
Love Island UK
Love Island is a dating game show based in the United Kingdom. It’s a remake of the same-named celebrity series that ran on ITV for two seasons in 2005 and 2006. Laura Whitmore hosts the series, which is narrated by Iain Stirling. One of the better comedy TV shows you can watch with each other.
The hot summer series Love Island is based on the worldwide blockbuster hit and cultural phenomenon Love Island. The matchmaking starts when a group of single “Islanders” gathers in a beautiful villa in Las Vegas for a summer of dating, romance, and, eventually, partnerships. It also counts as one of the most-watched reality TV shows or as said comedy shows in the UK. An alternative reality show is desperate housewives.
