Squid Game, a South Korean dystopian series, has officially become Netflix’s most popular series in history, with a projected 111 million views in its first month of release. If that isn’t enough of a cause to check out the drama thriller, maybe the intriguing narrative will be enough to entice you to do so.
The gist of it is as follows: 456 individuals from impoverished backgrounds are given the opportunity to participate in a series of Hunger Games-style trials for the chance to earn the equivalent of around $38 million in the United States. However, not all of them will make it out alive. A must-see Netflix show for couples, Squid Game is without a doubt one of the best programs available.
Good Girls
Three suburban Michigan moms, two of whom are sisters, who are struggling to make ends meet are the focus of this television series. One of the better comedy shows or family drama and comedy tv shows you can enjoy with each other.
The two of them are fed up with having everything taken away from them, so they decide to commit an improbable heist by stealing a supermarket, only to realize that they are in for a lot more trouble than they bargained for.
Love Is Blind
Love is blind is a dating reality television series developed by Chris Coelen that aired on Netflix on February 13, 2020, as part of a three-week event. The show is produced by Kinetic Content and was created by Chris Coelen.
Several critics have linked the show to Married at First Sight, which was also produced by Kinetic Content, as well as the reality show The Bachelor. One of the better reality tv shows. If you enjoy the little things like Walter White and Joe Goldberg in their shows, this reality tv show is a great break for you. Also, an honorable mention for the community of drama series is desperate housewives.
Stranger Things
Is there anybody in this world who doesn’t adore the Duffer Brothers’ ode to 1980s pop culture? Stranger Things checks all the boxes, whether you’re into the supernatural or simply nostalgic for classic Spielberg movies. Hawkins, Indiana has had multiple run-ins with the eerie monsters from the mysterious Upside Down, and the series follows them. The young boy along with his friends explores the supernatural.
But don’t worry, Hawkins’ children (and some of their parents) always appear to be able to rescue the day in the nick of time. The sitcom combines pre-adolescent and teen antics with science fiction themes to appeal to a wide audience.
Black Mirror
Black Mirror is an anthology series recognized for gloomy themes that don’t seem utterly out of reach, and it’s known for eerily realistic dystopian reflections on mankind. Because each episode is a unique story, you and your significant other may watch how future technology uproots humanity in whatever order you choose.
The program will have you drawing eerie similarities to the history of civilization and technological breakthroughs in the real world, from murderous robot dogs to cloning deceased loved ones.
There are five seasons available for couples to watch on Netflix, but considering the series’ creepy tone, you may want to alternate episodes with lighter fare. Honorable mentions here include Penn Badgley and Shonda Rhimes as well as the series Lucifer which is happening in Los Angeles.
Vampire Diaries
The action of the book takes place in the fictitious town of Mystic Falls, Virginia, which has a dark history of supernatural activity.
The story revolves around the lives of Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev), a young girl who has just lost both of her parents in a car accident, and how she comes to fall in love with Stefan Salvatore, a 162-year-old vampire (Paul Wesley). Honorable mentions include the series lily and true blood from Anna Paquin.
Criminal Minds
Premise. The series follows a group of criminal profilers who work for the FBI as members of its Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU). The profilers use behavioral analysis and profiling to assist in the investigation of crimes and the identification of the unsubmissive suspect (unknown subject). One of the better documentary series which changes the scenery from a big town to a small town with a hill house.
What is it about Criminal Minds that makes it such a fantastic show? Because of the on-screen connection between the characters, viewers can empathize with their daily problems, whether they are related to jobs, friendships, or romantic relationships. No matter what genre a program is in, having real-life concerns mirrored in it is all any fan could ask for from their favorite television show. If you are a fan of serial killer shows this is the one. Other Netflix series are not thrilling as this one.
Umbrella Academy
Developed by Jeremy Slater for Netflix, the series centers on a dysfunctional family of adopted sibling superheroes who come together to unravel the mystery of their father’s death and the danger of an impending apocalypse. Steve Blackman created the series for Netflix.
The film “The Umbrella Academy” is based on a comic book created by Gerard Way, the vocalist of My Chemical Romance. If the program has whetted your desire for unusual storylines, here are ten great television shows that draw their inspiration from graphic novels. Honorable mention actors here include Gwyneth Paltrow, Ted Danson, and Kristen Bell. What do you get when you mix a former student single man and a good doctor young women, you get a lot of fun.
Prison Break
Lincoln Burrows has been convicted of a murder he did not commit, and he is now being held in Fox River Prison awaiting death. Micheal Schofield, his only brother, would stop at nothing to see that he is released. He intends to break Michael and his brother out of jail by purposefully committing a felony that would land Michael in the same prison as his brother.
Prison Break is one of the finest television shows ever produced. Personality, flair, excitement, and action are all present and accounted for in this film. Michael Scofield robs a bank only to be caught and sentenced to prison. He carries with him a plan to get himself and his brother, who has been condemned to death, out of prison while he is behind bars.
Good Place
However, just because the last season of A Good Place has come and gone doesn’t mean you can’t go back and watch the show again on Netflix. As the characters Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani, and Jason search for their postmortem homes in the cosmos, the NBC comedy chronicles their adventures.
